How to Build a Boat

The musical score uses imitation and variations from the melody "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" that was altered into the minor mode with the addition of melodic percussive effects in order to intensify the work. The overall project took 51 hours to complete.

"Lincoln Logs: Rome'' is a time lapse music video that was inspired by Rod Bergeron's pen and ink drawing, "Rome." This piece illustrates two churches in Rome, Italy; Santa Maria dei Micacli and Santa Maria Montesanto. The overall structure uses 3,235 Lincoln Log parts and the music has 45 tracks.

"Lincoln Logs: Fortress;” is the full version of an animated music video of the construction of a Lincoln Log fortress. The structure is made up of 988 pieces of Lincoln Logs, the music is made up of 245 audio tracks, the video is made up of 19,881 pictures and the entire piece took 328 hours of work.
The music heard in this video is a derivative work from Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, from measure 1 through measure 221. There are tonality, rhythmic, and instrumentation alterations to the original piece.

"Lincoln Logs: Fortress; Movement 4: Centerpiece '' is the fourth and final animated music video of the construction of a Lincoln Log Fortress. This portion of the project took 207 hours to complete. There are 180 Lincoln Logs used for the fortress' centerpiece and 6,708 pictures in this animated segment.
The music is a derivative work from Franz Liszt's "La Campanella." His composition was the DNA in creating this larger composition. I used every note written in Liszt's piece but inserted more notes and more instruments; this includes a percussive and choral sections. The vocals heard in the sound recording is my own voice and the overall audio is made up of 248 tracks.
Lincoln Logs: Fortress; Movement 3, Front Wall
"Lincoln Logs: Fortress; Movement 3, Front Wall" is an animated music video of the construction of the front wall to a Fortress. The structure is made up of 343 pieces of Lincoln Logs, the music is made up of 351 audio tracks, the video is made up of 4,521 pictures and the entire piece took 158 hours of work.
The music heard in this video is a derivative work from S. Rachmaninoff's "Prelude in G minor, Op. 23-5." I kept true to the tonality of the work and the melodic and harmonic motion. There are additional notes (pitch and rhythms), and instrumentation. The choir heard in the sound track is my own which is made up of 297 audio tracks and the overall sound recording is made up of 351 tracks.

"Lincoln Logs: Fortress; Movement 2: Side Walls" is the second of four animated music videos of the construction of a Lincoln Log Fortress. This portion of the project took 47 hours to complete. There are 114 Lincoln Logs used for the fortress' side walls and 3,222 pictures in this animated segment.
The music uses the melody and harmony from Chopin's "Nocturne 8 in D-flat Major" (measures 1-61) but the tonality was changed from major to minor while adding additional original material to the arrangement. The vocals heard in the sound recording is my own voice and the overall audio is made up of 52 tracks.

"Lincoln Logs: Fortress; Movement 1: Back Wall" is the first of four animated music videos of a construction of a Lincoln Log Fortress series. This portion of the project took 86 hours to complete. There are 351 Lincoln Logs used for the fortress' back wall and 5,430 pictures in this animated segment.
The music uses the melody and harmony from Chopin's "Passepied" (measures 1-75) but the tonality was changed from major to minor while adding additional original material to the arrangement. The vocals heard in the sound recording is my own voice and the overall audio is made up of 120 tracks.

"Lincoln Logs: Star Palace" is a time lapse music video that is made up of 1,007 Lincoln Logs. The center is similar to the "Octagon Tower.”
Lincoln Logs: Cube
"Lincoln Logs: Cube" is an animated music video that has clay figures and two cranes build a cube out of 65 Lincoln Logs. I was inspired to create this project when I was searching the web and came across several domino cubes and cubes made out of Kapla blocks. Playing around with the idea, "Lincoln Logs: Cube" was developed.
The music is made up of 97 audio tracks and 30 hours to arrange and master. The music is mostly adopted from Chopin's "Nocturne Op. 48, No. 1" in C minor with alterations to the melody and added melodic and harmonic material.
The animation took 34 hours to film and includes 4,295 pictures. The overall project took 64 hours.
